Music Information

The theme of this work is of finding common ground and a common bond through music. Jayson and I met in college at Western Illinois University and in addition to being Psychology majors, we also became creative collaborators. We began writing the lyrics while in the library at WIU. Jayson had drafted some lyrics and passed the paper to me. I had a lyrical idea for the bridge: peace between races / peace between nations / peace between each other / peace on earth. That’s all I had – just a framework. He thought they were lyrics and composed a powerful musical bridge around them. A day or so later he came over and played his idea. I was, and am still blown away by his creation. I only wish I could play it as well as he does. This music is a demo that highlights the different sections of this piece/peace.
