Music Information

The music for Bach and Beethoven are excerpts of exact quotes from the visual art. The music for Mozart and Brahms are piano pieces created specifically in Overture2® while working on the portraits, however, they are not direct musical quotes as the Beethoven and Bach excerpts are.

Art Information

The four portraits in Symphonic Suite No. 1 have been created to highlight four of the most recognizable names in classical music. Each portrait has been executed in the handwriting style of the featured composer and all four pieces share a common melody. My intention was to create a “musical self-portrait” of each composer.
